The Pepsi Music Academy Naija is a music education program and talent accelerator that gives participants the opportunity to learn the science, art and business of music from established industry professionals.

It kicks off with a 10 day Music Academy Summit. During the summit, shortlisted participants will be trained by industry professionals and equipped with the requisite knowledge to have a successful music career from an end to end approach. This first of its kind 10-day Pepsi Music Academy Naija Summit will be held from Monday, 20th November, 2023 to Thursday, 30th November, 2023

EMPIRE is a record label and distribution company and the official partner of the Pepsi Music Academy Naija. EMPIRE is headquartered in San Francisco, California, with offices across the world.

Some popular artists signed to EMPIRE include international acts Tyga, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Snoop Dogg, Olamide, Asake, BNXN (fka Buju), FireBoy DML, Wande Coal and many others.

EMPIRE is offering the 3 Grand Prize winners a 2 year music recording, producing, publishing and distribution deal.

Ten day Summit Curriculum

FUNDAMENTALS OF SONGWRITING

This session will focus on helping new artists better understand the basic elements that make up a song: melody, rhythm, harmony, and lyrics.

MUSIC PRODUCTION

This session is dedicated to teaching the process of creating and refining recorded music for public presentation. It encompasses all aspects of the recording process, from songwriting and composition to recording and sound design to mixing and mastering.

MUSIC PERFORMANCE & ARTISTRY

This session will teach new artists about music performance; the act of bringing music to life for an audience, and music artistry; the creative expression of the performer's interpretation of the music.

MUSIC BRANDING & MARKETING

This session will focus on teaching the process of creating and promoting a unique identity for a musician or band in order to attract and retain fans.

MUSIC BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT

This class would focus on the business side of the music industry discussing a wide range of activities, from recording and producing music to marketing and distributing it.

MUSIC ā€˜Nā€™ LEGAL

This class would address the topic matters as it regards music rights management, legal and ethical issues that face the contemporary music business professionals.

ENTERTAINMENT & ENGAGEMENT

This class serves as a finishing course dedicated to developing the music talents of emerging artists on stage, and off stage.
